Day 7 - A Closer Look at Vang Vieng
Sunrise is a wonderful moment in a day. Espacially when you associate it with breakfast...
Whilst all set, me and Monica start our journey to explore the very unique Vang Vieng in deatil, of course include food, *hungry*

Many Veggie serve with the main course, and the meal (shown above) only cost us 10,000Kip.

Yummy, yummy... veggie, veggie... food fiber is good for health...
Local Encounter
Around 10:30 in the morning, lot of local student having a break from school, looking for food like us around the small town. And we manage to *catch* two of them, namely Na Khi Ta (from left) and Na Khun Nang, for photo session.

Their school uniform is quite similar with Malaysian traditional Malay wear, which is on Monica, isn't it? Ah, they look just like Monica's daughters...
They understand English and can speak few words. We were having a 10 minutes talk, and we finally got their names. What a good conversation, isn't it?
Bus Station Moved
As we sill be taking bus back to Vientiane tomorrow morning, so we take a slow walk back to the bus terminal to check on schedule. But then, we realised all the bus is moving to the New Station on today itself.

Here's the notice by bus company for all their passengers, saying the original bus terminal (the airstrip) is closed, effective today. We're felt lucky that we decided to precheck, else, we'd be walking south, with 10kg backpack, instead of to the New Station at north.
Anybody, Ride A Motorbike

There are only 3 major streets in Vang Vieng, and 8 minor streets connect them together, and the main road. Traffic is very light, neither tourists nor locals wear helmet while riding motorbikes, a cap will do. It's safe, anyway.

Any tourist with qualified height, include those who never pass a riding test or holding valid license, can rent a motorbike, shop merchant will give free training, and also a map. ^.^
Well, we chose to walk and bicycling, we are not in hurry, anyway. Moving slowly allow us to see more things, more detail.
Cooling Down

Vang Vieng people are quite advance in their hospitality, many guest house and restaurant prepare a nice room with shade for travelers, allowing them to sit or lie down enjoy tv program, while having a cooling beer in the afternoon heat.

If a bottle of beer or two cannot really bring down your body temperature, you still have alternative: join the tubing fun. Get yourself wet in the Song River!

Well, did I say Vang Vieng is a small town? It took us almost 5 hours to make a thorough walk around, FU FU!
This tiny little premise come into my eyes, its billboard says, "XayKham Massage". Should we try Lao-style traditional massage?
Why not... 3 o'clock in the afternoon, non-stop walking for 5 hours. Monica take out 35,000 Kip to enjoy 1 hour full body massage. Well, I sitting outside enjoying my cigarette.

Place of worship and pray is always the most beautiful building in sight. Can I put it, Vang Vieng people is holy and religious? They seem more willingly to contribute to their religion then their own home.

In the late afternoon, local people start to work. As seen in the picture, they are making a boat.

A cute baby boy looking at us with innocency, curiously, while I holding my camera taking his photo.

This is a very important building in the town, a Hospital.
